About Us:

Xtraordinaari Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through education and skill development. Our mission is to provide free learning opportunities for children and empower women through training, guidance, and income-generating skills. With our campaigns like Mobile School Abhiyaan, we aim to break barriers and create a world where every child and woman has the chance to grow, learn, and succeed.

Our founder, Karuna Sankhe, is a passionate communication, personality, and mindset coach. Born in the slums of Dharavi and raised by a single mother who, despite being uneducated herself, was determined to ensure Karuna’s education, Karuna understands firsthand the power of education in transforming lives. Today, Karuna is on a mission to give back to society by providing education, training, and opportunities to those who need it the most.

Our Mission

At Xtraordinaari Foundation, our mission is to provide free English education to children from all backgrounds and empower women through skill development and financial independence. We focus on nurturing the potential of every individual, helping them break free from societal constraints, and encouraging them to realize their full potential.

Through initiatives like Mobile School Abhiyaan, we aim to bring quality learning to remote and underserved areas, ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to the tools needed to succeed in life. We also offer personality development, mindset training, and communication coaching, helping both children and women build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their personal and professional goals.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every child has access to free education, especially in English, to help them connect with opportunities that will shape their future. We also strive to create a world where every woman is empowered—financially independent, confident, and equipped with the skills needed to overcome life's challenges and live a life of dignity.

Our ultimate goal is to create a society where education and empowerment are not privileges but basic rights available to all. We want to help people transform their lives, just as Karuna's life was transformed by the love and determination of her mother, who believed in the power of education.

Our Initiatives

1. Mobile School Abhiyaan
Mobile School Abhiyaan is our flagship initiative designed to provide free online English language training and personality development to underprivileged women and children. This unique project helps break the barriers of location and access, delivering learning opportunities directly to those in need via the internet.

• Impact      so far: We have successfully helped over 400 people, ranging      from children to adults, who previously didn’t even know the alphabet.      Today, they can speak confidently in English and communicate successfully.
• A      special achievement: We taught a 70-year-old woman, who had no      knowledge of the ABCs, to speak English fluently. Stories like hers      inspire us to continue the work we do.
• Collaborations:     We have partnered with government schools and community      organizations in slum areas to teach children not only English      but also essential personality and communication skills.
• Global      teaching network: Teachers from different parts of India and even other      countries volunteer to teach these underprivileged children and women      from the comfort of their homes. This remote teaching model allows us to      reach those who would otherwise have no access to quality education.

2. Empowering Women Through Skill Development
We believe that empowering women is key to building stronger communities. Our skill development programs are designed to help women become financially independent and create opportunities for themselves. Some of the key areas we focus on include:

• Handmade      Bag Making
• Home      Decor Crafting
• Digital      Marketing

Through these programs, we equip women with skills they can use to generate income, build confidence, and take control of their lives. Additionally, we help set up small businesses by providing them with the initial support they need, such as materials, training, and business guidance.

3. Raising Funds for Educational Support
At Xtraordinaari Foundation, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education. Many of the children we support come from families who cannot afford basic educational resources. To bridge this gap, we raise funds to provide:

• Stationery      and Supplies: We provide essential educational materials like books,      pens, notebooks, and uniforms, so children can attend school with the      tools they need to succeed.
• School      Fees: For children in need, we offer financial support for school      fees, ensuring that they are not deprived of education due to financial      constraints.
• Other      Educational Needs: We also raise funds to meet the varying needs of      children’s education, including online learning tools, extra-curricular      activities, and educational workshops.

By supporting these initiatives, we give children the foundation they need to succeed academically and build a better future for themselves.

Our Impact

• Over      400 people trained: Through Mobile School Abhiyaan and our      skill development programs, we've impacted more than 400 individuals,      including children as young as 5 and adults up to 70 years old.
• Confidence-building:      We have transformed the lives of individuals who once struggled with basic      communication, helping them find confidence in their abilities.
• Partnering      for Change: Our collaborations with schools, community organizations,      and government bodies have extended our reach, allowing us to teach      English and life skills to children in some of the most underprivileged      areas.
• Helping      Women Earn: We have helped women set up small businesses and start      earning by training them in skills like crafting and digital marketing.      These women are now taking charge of their lives, contributing to their      families, and becoming financially independent.

Why We Do It

Our founder, Karuna Sankhe, believes that the foundation of a better future lies in the power of education. Having faced numerous hardships herself, including being a victim of molestation and growing up in a slum, Karuna knows the importance of education in changing lives. She believes it was only because of her mother’s unwavering determination to give her an education that she is where she is today—a successful coach and a proud advocate for the power of education.

Now, Karuna is committed to helping others realize the same potential and build a brighter future for themselves. Through Xtraordinaari Foundation, she is determined to make sure that every child and woman has the opportunity to change their lives, just as she did.
